2017 INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR PEOPLE WITH A DISABILITY

MEDIA RELEASE

The Mallee Sports Assembly, Gannawarra Shire Council and eWorks will once again work in partnership to celebrate International Day for People With a Disability for 2017.

The event is to be held at the Kerang Lawn Tennis Club on Tuesday 5 December 2017 between 11am and 1pm.

Mayor Brian Gibson invites all community members, young and old, to come along to join in the celebrations.

“There will be great giveaways and prizes from local sponsors so everyone will take home something to remember the day by”.

The local police will once again bring along a radar gun to test the speed of each person’s tennis serve and there will also be fun games for everyone to enjoy. This will be followed by a delicious BBQ lunch.

Mallee Sports Assembly’s Rhonda Allan, Project Officer-Wycheproof, says the event would not be possible without the support of its sponsors.

“This community event is supported by RuralAccess and many other generous sponsors”.

“Each participant will receive a friendship band, stickers, badge and balloon for International Day for People With a Disability supplied by the Department of Social Services”.

This annual event is always great fun and well attended. Grab your friends and enjoy a fun morning.. It’s free!
