GRIGORYAN BROTHERS TO PERFORM IN KERANG
mEDIA RELEASE

Internationally renowned musicians, the Grigoryan Brothers, are returning to Kerang following their visit in March 2015 to perform songs from their latest release Songs Without Words.

Mayor Brian Gibson encourages the community to purchase their tickets early to secure their spot for what is guaranteed to be a great night of musical entertainment.

“It’s such a coup that musicians of this calibre are coming to perform in Kerang. We are so pleased that they are making a return visit. The evening will be a great night out as we can enjoy some yummy refreshments and enjoy a word class performance together,” Mayor Gibson said.

“We chose the Kerang Golf Club Rooms as the venue because of the warm fire and we know the Kerang Golf Club will provide a delicious variety of refreshments. We thought about how to encourage people to come together in mid-winter and what would make you come out and meet with friends? We thought a warm fire, open bar, welcome room and world class music should do it.”

In concert, the Grigoryan Brothers are known for their unique blend of musical genres. Although regarded as Australia’s finest guitar duo performing classical repertoire, the Grigoryan Brothers have also carved out a reputation for expanding their horizons through new arrangements, compositions and commissions.

“We’ve always been drawn to music with great melodies and interesting harmonic progression.” says Slava Grigoryan.

The intimacy of the brothers’ performances has entranced audiences worldwide, earning them a large and devoted following. Slava started studying guitar when he was six, Leonard began at four. Each with remarkable solo careers, they first performed together in concert in 1998. Since then they have recorded seven duo albums, been nominated for four ARIA awards and toured through Europe, America, Asia, Russia and the Middle-East.
