Cricket Victoria Sports Voucher Program

Gannawarra Shire Council is excited to be partnering with Cricket Victoria to open up greater opportunities for budding young cricketers in the region.

Mayor Brian Gibson says not only will local children have the chance to enjoy the fun and excitement of the MILO In2 CRICKET and MILOT20 Blast Program, parents will be able to give their children an introduction to cricket at a reduced rate, with the aim to be able to open up opportunities to many more children in the area.

“Our community has had its fair share of challenges over the past years which have impacted on the region. This Sports Voucher program is a way Council can assist in our youngest residents being able to get involved in sport without the cost been a barrier to parents,” Mayor Gibson said.

“The subsidy program is for participants between 5-12 years old and it will cover 50% of the registration cost. To access the subsidised rate at your local centre you simply need to fill out the MILO In2CRICKET/MILO T20 Blast Registration Form along with the Subsidy Claim Form and submit to your local Northern District Cricket Association,” Mayor Gibson explains.

This program is available to Gannawarra residents thanks to the Victorian State Government, Cricket Victoria and Cricket Australia.

“This is a great program that gets children involved in physical activity, sport and having fun, and Council is very pleased to be able to make it available to our residents,” Mayor Gibson said.
