Community Grants Awarded

Media Release

Gannawarra Shire Council has awarded $82,407 to community organisations through the 2018/19 round of the Community Grants Program.

Community groups and not-for-profit organisations were able to apply for up to $5000 for projects or events.

Mayor Brian Gibson said that Council had once again seen a great response from community groups across the Shire, with 16 applications for funding received in the Community Support category and 7 applications for the Events category.

“The projects awarded funding from Council complement Council’s overall objectives in the 2017-2021 Council Plan,” Mayor Gibson said.

“It is pleasing community groups put forward funding applications that help to achieve the goals set by communities,” said Mayor Gibson.

“I look forward to seeing the successful projects come to fruition.”
