Celebrate 2018 International Day of People with Disability

Gannawarra Shire Council, Mallee Sports Assembly and E-works are working in partnership to celebrate International Day of People with Disability in December 2018.
The free event will be held at Atkinson Park, Kerang on Tuesday December 4, 2018 between 11:00am and 1:00pm.
Mayor Lorraine Learmonth invites all community members, of all ages, to come along to join in the celebrations.
“The event is sure to be a lot of fun with educational and interactive activities on the day including woodwork, arts and crafts, dance classes, twisted science workshops and more,” said Mayor Learmonth.
“Each person attending will receive a badge, balloon and pen for International Day of People with Disability supplied by the Department of Social Services,” added Mayor Learmonth.
“The day will conclude with a free BBQ lunch.”
Mallee Sports Assembly’s Project Officer-Wycheproof, Rhonda Allan, said the event would not be possible without the support of its sponsors.
“It is fantastic to see this community event promoted by many local businesses,” said Mrs Allan.
“Thank you to Terry White Chemmart, Halls Hardware, Gravity Clothing and Sportspower for their generous donations.”
“This free annual event is always great fun and well attended so grab your friends and join in the celebrations!” added Mayor Learmonth.
