ART SALON

MEDIA RELEASE

After the success of the Art Salon held at the Cohuna Art Gallery in July, Gannawarra Shire Council and Regional Arts Victoria will hold another Art Salon this month.

Cr Lorraine Learmonth, who holds the Arts and Culture Portfolio for the Gannawarra Shire, encourages locals across the district to attend the event which is aimed at sharing ideas and creative projects and learning about how local communities can work together to deliver an art project or event.

“The Art Salon is a great way to meet new people and get to know the creative community within Gannawarra Shire” says Cr Learmonth.

“The Art Salon will begin with a walk around Quambatook to visit some of the interesting places that make the town unique. We will then have an open discussion about upcoming projects and you will have the opportunity to share your ideas and learn how you and your community can present a show or project locally.”

Gannawarra Shire Council and Regional Arts Victoria invite all to come along and enjoy sharing platters and a glass of wine, tea or coffee and discuss the creative opportunities Gannawarra has to offer.

This free event will be held at Quambatook Seniors Hall at 6pm Thursday 23 November.

Attendees are encouraged to RSVP to arts@gannawarra.vic.gov.au by Tuesday 21 November.
