Public toilets at Apex Park, Cohuna will be closed from 1 May to 16 May to enable the completion of new amenities on-site.

Construction of new amenities at the popular park, located on the banks of Gunbower Creek, has been ongoing since the start of the year.

“The construction stage of the new toilet block at Apex Park is complete, however the current toilet block that has been operational whilst the works have occurred needs to be demolished to enable sewerage and electricity connection to the new amenities,” Mayor Lorraine Learmonth said.

“It is anticipated that it may take up to two weeks for the demolition of the old facility and the connection of key services to the new building.”

Public toilets at the Gateway to Gannawarra Visitor Centre and the Cohuna Memorial Hall will continue to be open whilst these works occur.

“Council thanks residents and visitors to Cohuna for their patience as these works occur, and looks forward to when the new amenities are operational,” Mayor Lorraine Learmonth said.
