An evening with Rosalie Ham
Media Release

Don your best 1950’s haute couture threads and join Rosalie Ham, author of The Dressmaker at the Kerang Library on 22 June 2017.

The Dressmaker was the bestselling Australian novel that inspired the blockbuster movie starring Kate Winslet and Liam Hemsworth.

Manager Library Services Kerri Sidorow encourages the community to come along to the evening with Rosalie as she discusses the process of turning her book into a film and shares her insights on writing.

“In keeping with the book's theme of 1950s haute couture, attendees are encouraged to frock up and bring some colour and glamour to the gathering.”

“Rosalie is visiting Gannawarra Library Service as part of the State Library of Victoria's High Road to Reading program.”

“High Road to Reading brings authors to Victorian public libraries – whatever your reading passion, you’ll find an event to entertain and inspire you,” Ms Sidorow explains.

In addition the author will be available for book signings after her talk, if you don't own a copy of the book, Collins Books from Echuca will be selling some on the night.

This free event runs from 7.00 - 8.00pm with light refreshments provided and bookings are essential. Phone the Kerang Library on 5452 1546 to reserve your place.
