Categories

  • Citizen of the Year (aged 15 years or older on 26 January 2019)
  • Young Citizen of the Year (aged 15 to 24 years on 26 January 2019)

 Eligibility & Conditions:

  • Nominees must be nominated for their contributions to Gannawarra Shire.
  • Nominations must clearly address the specified criteria to assist with the judging process.
  • The decision of the Selection Panel (consisting of the Mayor and Councillors) is the final decision and no correspondence will be entered into regards to its decisions.
  • Upon receipt of or during consideration of nominations the Selection Panel may request additional information from the nominator.
  • All nominees must be aware that they have been nominated prior to submitting this form.
  • Unsuccessful nominations from one year will not automatically be reconsidered for the following year.

 
Purpose of the Awards

The Gannawarra Shire Council 2019 Australia Day Awards recognise and honour citizens who have contributed toward the progress and development of local communities.  The Awards also provide a focus for Australia Day celebrations within the Gannawarra Shire.
