Overview

The Maternal and Child Health Service is a free service, available to all families with children from birth to school entry age. It provides services that offer families with young children support, information, health promotion, early identification and intervention.

Our service offers 10 free Key Ages and Stages consultations where you are able to discuss your concerns, parenting experiences and your child's health, growth and development.

Extra visits are available for families with additional needs such as premature babies, twins or other challenging situations.

Information about your child's health and development is recorded in their Child Health Record Book. At particular stages there will be more specific assessments, including those related to hearing and vision.

Council operates Maternal and Child Health centres in Kerang, Cohuna and Koondrook.
